“My wife and I had a week long stay in August and were able to check in with minimal fuss. Kathy was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, rooms were turned and tea making facilities etc replenished daily. Breakfast had plenty on offer and was delicious!
Parking was a little tricky on the drive but there seemed to be ample space on the road in front of the B&B, it’s also away from the action (depending on your point of view that could be a selling point!). You won’t need your car as the bus service in Weymouth is excellent – we paid £25 each for a week ticket (valid for use all over Dorset) which I think represented excellent value for money as we would have easily racked up more in parking and fuel. A bus stop taking you to Weymouth seafront is located around 2 minutes walk from Birch House, they run every 20 minutes.
Overall; our stay in Weymouth was a happy one and where you stay plays a huge part in that. We would definitely stay again!”
“We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Birch House. I would highly recommend a stay here. Both our room and bathroom were very spacious and tastefully decorated. Tea and coffee were provided. Breakfast was excellent with generous portions and a lot of choice. Kathy was very welcoming and helpful.”
“I have previously stayed at the Birch House a few years ago with my family. I decided to recently go back as we had such a good experience. My partner and I stayed from Thursday through to Sunday. We checked in after 4pm which was fine we travelled down in the morning and decided to go out for the day.
The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. It almost feels like your beautiful bedroom with a huge en-suite. Loved the couple sinks and having a bath and shower separate. The room had a tv and DVD played which you could use the DVD’s from the living room.
There’s a Kettle and tea making facilities in the room as well as a fridge and some biscuits.
Everything seemed to have a lovely touch to it. Very homely.
The breakfast were amazing with a very big choice. Which was great because it really set you up for the day. The only thing I didn’t like was that breakfast was served 8 to 9.30 which leaves you a very window to have a lay in which we wanted to do. Would have been good if it was until 10 at least.
Overall we would stay again. We loved the experience and the welcoming atmosphere.
Thank you x”
“Stayed here 2 nights for a last-min weekend break, in the Silver Birch suite. Parking: Their front patio has enough space for about 3 cars without having to manoeuvre to let others out, also free street parking 24/7 so parking not an issue at all.
Lounge: very comfy.
Garden: definitely a place to relax & hang out.
Breakfast: good variety, fresh.
Room: Silver Birch room was so nice. Bathroom 2 sinks, everything done up to high specs. Very modern & clean.
Hosts: Kathy very friendly & welcoming. They have 2 dogs but kept away from you if you’re not keen on dogs.
Would definitely stay again if visiting Weymouth & would recommend!”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this weekend we felt very welcome in what is a gorgeous family home as soon as we stepped in through the door we were in awe of the decor and open plan layout! We couldn’t wait to get to breakfast the next day after having a peek in the garden (luckily we had incredible weather) we loved the dogs daisy and lola they were a lovely addition to our experience as we all adore the company of dogs. The room was fantastic a powerful fan was provided so we could all sleep well in what was unusually hot temperatures! Having a fridge was so handy also never used a nespresso machine but now we all want one! Last thing to add was the breakfast (sausage in particular) was super high quality and Kathy was very attentive making sure we had everything we need!
Thankyou we had a fabulous stay and made lots of memories!”
“My wife and I spent a very enjoyable and comfortable weekend at this lovely B&B, ably owned and managed by Kathy and Peter, who certainly know how to look after their guests. The Green Room that we had was well appointed, homely and supplied with all that one needs by way of tea, coffee biscuits and the like. The room had a super en suite with all the comforts of home, and the room was well appointed with underfloor heating, a clock radio and flat tv, and ample cupboard space, and a super double bed. There is also off road parking, or you can park in the street if you want. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of fresh local and scrumptious food including the traditional English breakfast, so no need to leave the house feeling empty or neglected! All in all, great value for money, a good time to be had in Weymouth (highly recommend the George Grill and Bar for dinner), and we will return again, next time in the Spring to enjoy the lovely garden. Many thanks.”
“A superb en-suite room, wonderful welcome, a great nights sleep and an excellent breakfast. Local sausages and Dorset bacon with free range eggs cooked by Kathy and served by “mine host” her husband Peter. They gave us great tips on the surrounding area….we will be back.”
“Superb from start to finish, very welcoming check in. The house is absolutely beautiful it is a mixture of classic style yet modern. We had the green room and it is beautifully set out and perfectly clean. We had full English breakfast that was very tasty and good quality. The house has beautiful garden to the rear. We would definitely like to return and would highly recommend to anyone.”
“We enjoyed our 3 day stay at Birch House. We had a great sunny room and particularly enjoyed the breakfast. The fresh fruit was wonderful and there was a great choice of items and we could have as much as we liked. Everything was spotlessly clean and I would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Weymouth.”
“My husband and I stayed here for a family 50th celebration, the location for us was perfect. It’s based a 20 minute walk from Weymouth shops, restaurants and the seafront. This makes it lovely and quiet as you’re in a residential area and you don’t have to worry about parking. The house has been furnished in very good taste and the owners are very friendly and welcoming”
